The new academic year has started, but the 2026-2027 graduation guide isn’t ready yet. We expect it to be published before Q2, when most of you will start your thesis. Until then, the rules of the 2025-2026 graduation guide apply to everyone, including any students starting their thesis in Q1 right now. When the new guide is published, we will update this website and announce it in the news.

If you’re starting your thesis in Q2 (the standard on-time path), for now just do your best to submit your thesis topic by Friday 18 September using the form on the potential topics page. Note that supervisors will use that information to decide whether they have the capacity to supervise any more students or not.

If you’re starting your thesis now in Q1, you should already have a (submitted) topic and two supervisors. We don’t have official information yet, but I think you should aim for the following dates:

• Register your graduation project in MyCase as soon as possible, preferably this week.
• Schedule your kick-off before the end of week 1.4 (Friday 25 September). The kick-off will be in week 1.10 (2–6 November).

If you’re far enough along to do your Green light and Finalisation this quarter, you can expect them in week 1.8 (19–23 October) and week 1.10 (2–6 November), following the BK calendar. Note that according to the 2025-2026 graduation guide, your graduation report (thesis) is final at Green light. No significant changes allowed.
